Checkpoints
- Determination of ICUMSA color of sugar
- Determining the degree of whiteness of crystal sugar
- ICUMSA compliant measurement
- Easy calibration
- Robust instrument designed for permanent use

Easy to Use
LCD display with four-button keyboard makes handling easy and standard serial interface RS 232 ensures proper printing. The adjustable working voltage provides a long service life of the lighting unit, thereby extending replacement intervals. In addition, the electric bulb is run by a power saving switcher which prevents the Saccharoflex 2020 from overheating, so that a continuous operation is possible without any problems.

Applications
The Saccharoflex measures color grading of white sugars according to ICUMSA. This is useful for quality control in production as well as for scientific analysis.

Product in depth
The measurement is based on Taylor’s law and an integrating sphere. To decrease measurement instabilities caused by inhomogeneity of the sample (e.g. different grain size) a large sample surface is chosen.
Only two standards of the Brunswick color type or ceramic standards, preferably 0 and 6, are necessary to calibrate the Saccharoflex 2020. Adjustments can be made using the keyboard. The Saccharoflex 2020 allows measurements up to 19.99 color units (CU) without further adjustments.
